What is this risk assessment for?

This risk assessment covers all emergency response driving done on behalf of the team - whether in team vehicles, hired vehicles or personal vehicles.

The Driver - UnqualifiedRoad Users / Driver / Passengers
  • All roadside response drivers must have an externally endorsed qualification for response driving. (CERAD, NFCC ERD,  Response Driving etc.)
  • All drivers must have completed Chapter 19 update training of the Road Traffic Act as required

The VehicleRoad Users / Driver / Passengers
  • All vehicles used for response driving must have full 360 visibility of warning lights and at all points have a minimum of 2 independent light sources visible
  • all vehicles used for response driving must have additional high visibility markings where necessary to improve the overall visibility of the vehicle (Chevron's on rear etc.)

  • All vehicles used for response driving must hold appropriate insurance.
